Héctor Cuevas advises domestic and multinational clients on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, data protection, anticorruption matters, immigration, and corporate issues.
Héctor has extensive experience designing privacy and cybersecurity programs for public and private entities, as well as performing legal investigations into bribery allegations under the Mexican National Anti-Corruption System and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
His data protection experience includes handling diverse issues, including international transfers under GDPR, cloud computing contracts, e-commerce issues, and public investigations and sanctions.
Héctor also advises on immigration matters, helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments, including Mexican regulations and visa processes. He assists with investigations into H2-A visas in the United States, providing support for both Mexican and foreign nationals in their immigration issues.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Héctor was a partner at a leading global professional services firm, where he advised clients on corporate matters in highly regulated industries such as energy, life sciences, telecommunications, water, and infrastructure.
