Overview
Kelsey Javier is an associate in Fisher Phillips’ Irvine office. She advises and defends employers in all aspects of employment law from inception of a lawsuit to resolution. Kelsey represents employers and management against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour litigation on an individual and class action basis in state and federal court.
Kelsey also partners with employers to implement best practices, including drafting employment handbooks, policies, and agreements and conducting wage and hour audits. She counsels her clients on preventative litigation practices by advising on leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and termination.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Kelsey represented a broad range of employers, from small businesses to national corporations, in all areas of employment law, as well as products liability, personal injury, and general liability litigation.
During law school, Kelsey served as the Chief Symposia Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. In addition, as part of Loyola’s pro bono Ninth Circuit Clinic, she briefed and argued before the Court of Appeals, obtaining a favorable result on behalf of an incarcerated appellant. Kelsey also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and was an extern with the civil fraud division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
