Overview
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we honor the memory of our beloved partner, Dan O'Brien, who passed away on July 4, 2024. Dan was a friend and treasured colleague and will be sorely missed. He was one of the founding partners of the Cleveland office when it opened over thirteen years ago and served as the leader of the office’s workers’ compensation and workplace safety practice.
Dan was a giant of our profession in so many ways, including as an outstanding partner to his colleagues at Fisher Phillips and to his many clients in Ohio and across the country. He was devoted to his practice and the many businesses and employers he represented. Dan saw his role, first and foremost, as a problem solver who provided practical guidance to clients in every situation they encountered. Cool-headed and unflappable, Dan made it his mission to seek out, and obtain, the most optimal solutions to the most difficult problems facing our clients.
And Dan was a joy to work with. A passionate golfer, he also enjoyed just entertaining his friends – colleagues, clients, and often people he’d just met. Dan knew how to make us smile and laugh, regardless of the situation.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Cheryl, children Caitlin, Megan and Brendan, and extended family.
The story of Dan's full life, and his memorial details, can be found in this wonderfully written Obituary [https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/daniel-o-brien-obituary?id=55515433].
