Overview
Hunter Murray is an associate in the Charlotte and Louisville offices who counsels and represents employers in a variety of workplace-safety related matters in state and federal courts, as well as before the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Hunter spent more than two years as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Phillip D. Gaujot of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
A Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Hunter formerly held health and safety related roles at a global pharmaceutical company and a multinational tire manufacturing company. In these positions, he conducted incident investigations; implemented corrective actions; oversaw plant, research, and warehouse facilities; conducted safety audits and training sessions; conducted risk assessments; and drafted various safety related policies and written programs.
Hunter also gained valuable experience as an Environmental, Health & Safety Graduate Assistant at West Virginia University’s Health Science Center, where his duties included conducting audits of hundreds of research laboratories to ensure compliance with applicable policies.
Hunter is admitted in Kentucky and West Virginia. He is not admitted in North Carolina but is supervised by a licensed bar member.
