
Overview
Hyunki (John) Jung is a senior associate in the firm’s San Francisco office.John represents clients across a wide variety of industries, with a focus on AI and other technologies, healthcare, retail, construction machinery and equipment, and education.
John has extensive experience defending employers against claims involving wage and hour class actions and representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). He also regularly represents employers in a wide range of other employment law matters, including cases related to wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and contract disputes.
In addition to his extensive litigation practice, John frequently advises employers on various employment law matters, including hiring, termination, the interactive process, accommodations, performance management, leaves of absence, the development of internal policies, and the drafting of employment-related agreements, all with the goal of achieving business objectives while minimizing legal risk.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, John practiced as a labor and employment associate at two AmLaw 100 firms in San Francisco, where he represented employers in a broad spectrum of employment litigation and arbitration matters.
John earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law), where he served as a Staff Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal. During law school, he received the Best Appellate Brief award in Moot Court and earned CALI awards for excellence in California Civil Procedure and Healthcare Providers & Law.
