Overview
Erik Johnson is a member of Fisher Phillips' Executive Leadership Team and serves as the firm’s Chief Legal Operations Officer. After years as a practicing labor and employment litigator and then as the President and Founder of a regional mediation and arbitration company, Erik has spent the majority of his career as an operational and business leader at the forefront of building and leading several transformative legal services programs.
The legal industry is changing rapidly, and Fisher Phillips is leading the way by harnessing the power of new and emerging technologies and leaning into the value created by the disciplines of legal operations and legal project management. In partnership with his colleagues, Erik develops and operationalizes creative “people, process, and technology” solutions for the delivery of legal services and focuses on the financial performance and outcomes for both the firm and its clients. Through legal project management, strategic pricing, budgeting, continuous process improvement, client-focused trainings, and various matter and portfolio-level management techniques, Erik helps to drive greater efficiencies, higher levels of consistency, and more financial predictability for the firm’s clients. Erik also collaborates with his colleagues to provide data-driven insights, reporting, and other forms of business intelligence so that Fisher Phillips is always well positioned to be both exceptional legal advocates and true business partners with its clients.
Erik works closely with the firm’s leadership and Management Committee to implement strategic priorities and to help support the firm’s various practice groups and industry teams through effective business planning and execution. This seamless integration across the Executive Leadership Team truly sets Fisher Phillips apart as it enables collaboration, innovation, and diversity of ideas.
