Overview
David Witkin focuses his practice on a wide range of employment litigation matters, such as workers’ compensation, wrongful termination, class action cases, and government relations. David defends employers throughout all stages of litigation and advises on compliance with a variety of federal and state employment laws and agency regulations. Additionally, David advises clients on several new laws passed in California, including SB 253, SB 261, SB 476, SB 478, AB 5 and AB 2188. David also authors and presents on trending labor and employment topics, including legislative updates.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, David practiced at two regional litigation firms where he worked on civil litigation and employment litigation matters. He also served as a federal judicial clerk for the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
David graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 2020 and has the distinction of being the only student in McGeorge’s history to earn simultaneous Juris Doctor and Master of Public Policy degrees. While in law school, he was on the Moot Court Honors Board for three consecutive years and was inducted in The Order of Barristers because of his accomplishments in appellate advocacy.
