Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Mauricio Foeth has joined the firm as Of Counsel in Mexico.
Mauricio is a trusted advisor to multinational companies navigating the complexities of international labor and employment law, cross border transactions, M&A transactions, and regulatory and data protection matters. With more than 15 years of experience practicing law in both Mexico and Germany, Mauricio is particularly skilled at structuring international investments with a focus on assisting European companies with their legal and business challenges when entering the Mexican market.
Mauricio was most recently at Mexico’s largest professional services firm, and he will be joining several of his esteemed colleagues from that role who previously launched Fisher Phillips’ offices in Mexico. As part of the full-service team, Mauricio will provide large international clients with everything from general employment law counsel to guidance throughout complex international labor negotiations. And he has a wealth of experience assisting automotive industry clients with the labor and employment aspects of investing in Mexico, including complex individual and collective labor issues, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and all aspects of establishing operational facilities in the country.
Mauricio is a thought leader on a range of international law topics and is a frequent speaker at conferences all over the world. He earned his LL.B. from Hamburg University and his Ph.D. from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Mauricio also serves as an advisor to the German, Canadian and Austrian Embassies as well as various other European and non-European embassies and is an Honorary Legal Advisor to the Embassy of the United Kingdom.
