Third Time’s the Charm?... And We Mean it This Time: California Moves Closer to Final Amendments to COVID-19 Workplace Safety Rules
Event
6.18.21
11:00 AM — 12:00 PM PST
Employers monitoring proposed changes to Cal/OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) in recent weeks likely have whiplash from trying to keep up with the back-and-forth slew of developments. However, it appears we are close to final resolution. On Friday, June 11, Cal/OSHA released a third (and hopefully final) set of proposed revisions that will be voted on June 17 – which could go into effect soon thereafter. The proposed changes closely align with updated guidance from CDPH/CDC, particularly regarding face coverings. The revised ETS will allow fully vaccinated employees to remove face coverings, regardless of whether others at the workplace have been vaccinated. However, the revised ETS will make several other changes that employers will have to implement in short order.
This event has been approved for 1 hour of HRCI/SHRM credit.
