Fisher Phillips Continues California Growth Plan with Expansion in Sacramento

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce the addition of four attorneys in its Sacramento office: Michael Saqui joins as Senior Counsel, Rebecca Hause-Schultz joins as Of Counsel, Heather Domingo joins as an Associate and Christina Anton joins as a law clerk. The new attorneys join from The Saqui Law Group and expand Fisher Phillips’ employment and labor relations capabilities in the growing agriculture industry in California and nationally.

Michael brings decades of experience representing growers, packers, and shippers in the agriculture industry. Michael and his team are known for providing labor relations, litigation, H-2A compliance and defense, and counseling services to employers throughout the full spectrum of the agricultural industry. He regularly represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board and other federal and state agencies and courts. Michael has also formulated and implemented preventive labor relations programs, trainings, procedures and union avoidance protocols for employers of all sizes and from virtually all industries. He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law.

Rebecca draws on her deep roots in agriculture to defend farmers, food processors, manufacturers, and ag-tech businesses in employment litigation lawsuits and help avoid disputes. She litigates cases in federal and state courts, as well as state administrative agencies including the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) and Department of Fair Employment & Housing (DFEH), with a focus on wage and hour class actions and California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. A key part of her practice involves teaming with clients to foresee potential concerns, institute best practices, and ensure compliance. Rebecca earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law and her B.S. from California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo.

Heather counsels and defends businesses in a variety of employment law matters including wage and hour litigation, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment in both single-plaintiff and class actions. She earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and her B.A. from Loyola Marymount University. During law school, she worked at the California Attorney General’s Employment Division, the McGeorge Immigration Clinic, and local labor and employment law firms. Passionate about helping others, Heather was awarded the Unity Bar Scholarship in law school for her commitment to community service.

Christina recently earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  While there, she was the Primary Production Editor for the University of the Pacific Law Review and a member of the Traynor Honor Society.  During law school, Christina worked as a law clerk for The Saqui Law Group, where she assisted attorneys in handling complex wage and hour cases.  She also served as a research assistant and teaching assistant for several law professors and as a student attorney for the McGeorge Bankruptcy Clinic.  Additionally, she clerked for the Western States Pension Assistance Project and Legal Services of Northern California and was an advocate for Worker’s Rights Program in Sacramento. Christina received her B.S., cum laude, in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento in 2016.
