California’s COVID-19 Workplace Standards Require Strict Protocols

California recently adopted emergency standards enforced by Cal/OSHA that require employers to take stringent measures to protect their employees from COVID-19 in the workplace. SHRM recently spoke with Hannah Sweiss about the new standards. Among the new standards are: notice requirements, testing obligations and pay requirements. Because of the strict new deadlines for notifying employees of a case within the workforce, Hannah says employers should prepare template notices that can be dispersed quickly.
