Overview
Zachary Princi assists employers with a wide range of international and domestic employment law matters. Internationally, Zach counsels U.S. companies operating abroad, as well as foreign companies seeking to enter the U.S. market. Zach frequently advises employers on how to navigate legal issues that arise out of their global operations, such as the international secondment of employees, local hiring and termination procedures, and cross-border employment dispute resolution.
Domestically, Zach litigates on behalf of U.S. employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unfair business practices, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations (both individual and collective actions). Zach also advises U.S. employers with respect to complying with state and federal legal issues, developing workplace policies and procedures, and handling employee discipline and termination.
Zach earned his J.D. from Chapman University, where he graduated magna cum laude in the top 1.3% of his class and earned the highest grade in 12 of his courses. During his time in law school, Zach served on the Chapman Law Review as a Managing Editor, the Moot Court Competition Board, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. Zach also served as an academic teaching fellow for Civil Procedure I and II.
Prior to attending law school, Zach worked for the Parliament of Canada and operated multiple businesses in the event management industry. Through these experiences, Zach became familiar with employment issues in Canada, allowing him to offer a unique perspective on how to approach cross-border employment issues.
