
Overview
Wataru Miyajima serves as a labor and employment law specialist helping companies operating in Japan comply with complex laws relating to employees and the workplace. He maintains close communication with clients and provides practical legal and business solutions tailored to clients' needs and objectives, informed by a deep understanding of their intentions. Wataru supports clients in diverse legal areas, with particular focus on risk anticipation and avoidance, drafting employment contracts, rules and handbooks, drafting and enforcing non-compete agreements, protecting trade secrets, and handling litigation and administrative investigations.
Wataru is also a managing partner of Frontier Law. After completing law school, he gained experience working at the Japanese affiliate of PwC Consulting Group.
Wataru regularly provides corporate internal training sessions on labor law compliance. He is also a co-author of an article explaining lawyers' recommendations regarding Japan's judicial reform (Japanese Association for Civil Law Research, June 11, 2022).
