
Overview
Timothy Ertz represents employers in a broad range of workplace law matters, with an emphasis on litigation, preventive advice, and counseling. Drawing on his experience as both a litigator and former government attorney, Tim is committed to achieving practical, efficient solutions for his clients.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Tim was an associate at a national labor and employment law firm, where he counselled employers and represented them in workplace disputes before administrative agencies and state and federal courts.
Tim previously served as an assistant city attorney for Kansas City, Missouri, and as an assistant attorney general for the State of Nebraska. He has represented clients in disputes involving employment discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower claims, civil rights, personal injury, wrongful death, and contract issues. His appellate experience includes briefing and arguing cases before the Nebraska and Missouri appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Tim earned his J.D. with distinction and began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Frankie Moore of the Nebraska Court of Appeals. He also worked as a claims attorney for a national title insurance company.
