Overview
Sohin Gautam defends employers in wage and hour disputes, class actions, and PAGA claims and advises them on a variety of employment issues including policies, records, and termination decisions to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. In addition, Sohin gives guidance and counsel to employers on vital labor and employment matters including leaves of absence, performance issues, employee handbooks, personnel policies, and employee discipline.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Sohin was an associate at a national litigation defense firm where he represented private employers in class action and PAGA claims in California state court, federal court, mediation, and arbitration. He also defended businesses against claims of wrongful termination and alleged violations of the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title IX, and the Labor Code’s retaliation provisions.
