Overview
Matthew Carpenter is an associate in the firm’s Sacramento office. He represents employers in all aspects of employment law.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Matt was a law clerk for a prominent regional litigation firm, where he helped defend employers and public entities against harassment and wage and hour claims. He was also an extern in the City Attorney’s Office in his hometown, where he assisted in litigation, criminal prosecution and employment related matters.
Matt graduated with Distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and was inducted into the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to Chief Judge Kimberley J. Mueller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He was also Vice President of the Business Law Association and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and a member of McGeorge’s nationally ranked Mock Trial team.
