Overview
Lizbeth “Liz” Ochoa is a partner in the firm's Irvine office. With over 20 years’ experience representing employers, Liz has experience litigating employment matters in state and federal courts, arbitration forums, as well as in state and federal administrative agencies such as the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), the California Civil Rights Department (formerly known as the DFEH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and others.
She represents and counsels employers on various employment-related matters, including, but not limited to, discrimination, unlawful harassment, wrongful termination, unfair business practices, wage and hour class and PAGA actions and compliance with COVID-19 related laws and regulations. She also conducts various types of trainings including, but not limited to, anti-harassment supervisor trainings in Spanish and English.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Liz gained invaluable experience working in a smaller firm where she represented employees and employers in various employment litigation matters. This experience has enabled Liz to have great success in defending employers because of her unique insight into employee claims.
In 2010, 2013 and 2014, Liz was selected for inclusion in Southern California Super Lawyers – Rising Stars. Liz is fluent in Spanish and sits on the firm’s Diversity Committee. She is also an ambassador for the firm’s Women’s Initiative and Leadership Council.
