
Overview
Katherine Cordry represents employers in a full range of labor and employment matters and disputes. In her litigation practice, she defends businesses in matters involving federal claims under the National Labor Relations Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age in Employment Discrimination Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, as well as state law claims under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Pennsylvania Whistleblower Law, Wage Payment and Collection Law, New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, and the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act. Katherine also has experience defending businesses in administrative agency investigations and inspections concerning claims of discrimination, harassment, and workplace safety.
Katherine also advises employers on compliance and day-to-day employment law questions, including preparing and implementing employee handbook policies, employee training, internal investigations, worker classification under wage and hour laws, and labor relations issues.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Katherine was an associate at a national multi-practice law firm where she focused on general labor and employment issues, including pre-litigation disputes, employer counseling, and single-employee discrimination, harassment, and retaliation related litigation. In addition, she has experience representing businesses in matters related to the Railway Labor Act and Federal Railway Safety Act.
During law school, Katherine was a judicial extern to the Honorable Robert B. Kugler with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and had an internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
