Overview
Erin Anderson is an associate in the firm’s Columbia office who focuses on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including allegations of discrimination and harassment, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the S.C. Payment of Wages Act, employee leaves and accommodations, policies and handbooks, and contractual issues.
Erin’s experience includes responding to charges of discrimination filed with the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, plus preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses in employment matters in both state and federal court. Additionally, she successfully defended a charter school client during an investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor regarding an alleged violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Erin was a law clerk and associate attorney at a local Columbia-based law firm where she focused on charter school and labor and employment law. While in law school, Erin served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, Erin worked in the marketing and advertising industry.
