Overview
David Myers advises and defends employers in connection with a variety of workplace issues, including compliance with applicable regulations and litigation in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, David was an associate at a national law firm in their Arizona office where he represented healthcare institutions and medical professionals in a variety of complex healthcare litigation matters including professional liability and civil rights claims under Section 1983. Previously, David was an associate at a Chicago law firm where he focused on complex commercial litigation. He advised and defended businesses in the aviation and transportation sectors in matters involving state, federal, regulatory, and international law.
David also gained valuable experience serving as an assistant state’s attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, where he prosecuted criminal offenses and first chaired more than 50 bench and jury trials. He also assisted the Appellate Division by preparing briefs and advocating on behalf of the State of Illinois.
During law school, David was an editor for the DePaul Law Review and a judicial intern with the Illinois Appellate Court, First District.
