Overview
Cindy Kaoud is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office and defends employers in a variety of employment-related matters, such as discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. Cindy also advises employers on a broad range of issues in the workplace, including developing company policies, personnel processes, and legal updates and developments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal law.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Cindy gained valuable experience at regional law firms in Los Angeles where she handled all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation negotiations to early stages of litigation (including risk and liability assessments and drafting dispositive motions), discovery, drafting discovery and non-discovery motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment, trial, and appellate work. Cindy also has experience in negotiating informal resolutions and successfully represented clients in mediation.
In addition to her litigation experience, Cindy provided counsel on labor and employment law to Fortune 200 companies and made proactive recommendations regarding company policy, compliance, and employee discipline, and termination.
Cindy earned her Bachelors, cum laude, from California State University of Northridge, and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. While at Loyola, Cindy was a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and Loyola Sports Law Forum.
