Overview
Chris Bellamy is a seasoned “boots on the ground” litigator who represents employers in a wide range of complex matters in state and federal courts. Chris’ experience includes conducting and managing internal corporate investigations, crisis management, and compliance.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Chris was Senior Counsel, Litigation (United States) + Data Privacy (Global) for a coal mining company where he managed litigation involving contract disputes, employment, personal injury, MSHA, class action lawsuits, securities litigation, regulatory matters and general tort claims. He was responsible for ensuring the company complied with all relevant global data privacy laws and related regulatory requirements.
Before moving in-house, Chris was with a Nashville law firm handling white collar criminal defense, defending clients in complex civil and parallel-track (civil and potential criminal) cases, managing internal corporate investigations, and advising businesses on corporate executive risk exposure and compliance issues. Chris has previously served as an Adjunct Professor instructing students on pretrial litigation at Vanderbilt University Law School.
