Overview
Brian Tremer is Of Counsel in the Irvine office. His practice is focused on representing employers in a variety of employment and labor disputes, including class and collective actions, and counseling clients on laws and regulations that affect their businesses. Brian has significant experience defending employers of all sizes in state and federal court, arbitral forums, and before various administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or the Department of Labor. He also counsels employers to ensure compliance with a wide variety of state and federal employment laws, such as wage and hour, employee classification, federal and state harassment, discrimination, and retaliation matters, and overall best practices for litigation avoidance and business growth.
Brian also frequently represents employers dealing with traditional labor and employer-employee relations issues, including union grievances, charges of unfair labor practice, and collective bargaining.
In addition to employment and labor matters, Brian advises employers on the development and administration of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements, and counsels on ERISA and the International Revenue Code, and benefit matters relating to corporate transactions.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Brian practiced at a highly regarded management-side employment law firm based in New Jersey.
