Overview
Benjamin Cooper is an associate in the firm’s San Francisco office, where he focuses on litigating a variety of employment matters including harassment and discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination claims. Benjamin has also been active in the firm’s employee defections, trade secret theft, and privacy law practice groups.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Benjamin interned with a business and employment litigation firm, where he focused on wage and hour litigation and resolving business disputes at trial. Previously, he interned at a business immigration firm, where he worked primarily on obtaining investor visas. He also reviewed drafted legislation while working in a United States Congressional office.
Before attending law school, Benjamin spent significant time in the private sector, working for both renewable energy companies and software and technology firms in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Benjamin received his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where he focused on business and environmental matters. He was the Senior Articles Editor for the UC Law Journal and competed in multiple Moot Court competitions. Benjamin received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, where he studied Economics and Political Science, and his Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University.
