Overview
Amber Peters is an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office and focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation and counseling. Amber defends employers in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) investigations, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) administrative Charges, National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, and actions in federal and state courts. Amber has significant experience defending claims involving restrictive covenants, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Amber has also represented companies and executives in general business and contract disputes. Amber counsel employers on a wide range of employment and workplace matters, including claims, risk management, employment policies, training, terminations, and leaves of absence.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Amber was an associate at a Chicago-based employment law firm where she focused on labor and employment litigation and counseling. She has also defended employers in state administrative hearings, state agency matters, and against claims involving state and city statute and ordinance violations. Amber has performed employee training for employers on various topics, including anti-harassment and compliance with the ADA.
