The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, Roper Insurance and Fisher Phillips invite you to attend our Human Resources Academy, which occurs on the second Thursday of every month. Our presentations are designed for business owners, managers, supervisors, HR professionals, and in-house attorneys who must deal with real life workplace issues that have real legal consequences.
Wage and hour laws are extensive, complex, and ever-changing, and claims against employers in virtually every industry are on the rise. With the election, more changes may be in the offing. Now, more than ever, employers must keep a close eye on their wage and hour practices. In this session, learn steps you can take now to ensure legal compliance and minimize liability in the coming year.
This seminar will examine:
- How to properly classify employees;
- How to maintain clear, accurate records that meet all FLSA requirements;
- How to avoid audits and lawsuits;
- What to expect in the coming year;
Presenters: Darin Mackender (Fisher Phillips), Mike Greco (Fisher Phillips) and Steve Roper (Roper Insurance).
