There has been a lot of recent California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) activity to unpack and confusion to clear up. First, on June 30th, a California court delayed enforcement of the updated CCPA regulations to March 29, 2024 but did not delay enforcement of all the changes that came into effect when the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) amended the CCPA. This left businesses to wonder what that means for them. Then, on July 14th, the California Attorney General announced that it is conducting investigative sweeps of California employers to determine CCPA compliance as to employee and job applicant data. Most recently, on August 4th, the CPPA and California AG have appealed the June 30th court ruling delaying enforcement.
Join Anne Yarovoy Khan and Darcey Groden as they discuss in detail the recent court activity around delaying enforcement of the updated CCPA regulations, AG enforcement activity (past and present), and what compliance looks like today - including what businesses need to know about the regulations. If you are a business that must comply with the CCPA, this webinar is for you.
