Employment related lawsuits have been on the rise in Northern Florida even as unemployment remains low. The cases run the gamut from standard discrimination and harassment to wage and hour violations to Covid disability claims. When a company is sued, it has already lost even if it wins in court. The time and energy spent by employers involved in defending litigation is time and energy they are not spending on building the business. This Fisher Phillips breakfast briefing will inform you about the hot button areas in litigation and identify specific action items you can implement to reduce the risk of being sued by former (and sometimes current) employees.
If you have any questions, please contact Marissa Slaven.
