Fisher Phillips is pleased to announce that Talar Tavlian has rejoined the firm as Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office.
Talar previously spent five years at Fisher Phillips representing employers in federal and state courts in various employment law matters, such as discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. She rejoins from a regional litigation defense firm where she defended clients against wage and hour claims, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases, and class actions. Talar’s return expands Fisher Phillips’ growing California Litigation team where she will provide key strategy and guidance to clients on litigating and defending against workplace-related matters.
“We’re delighted to have Talar back at Fisher Phillips, where we know she will provide invaluable counsel to our clients,” said Todd Scherwin, Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. “She’s a tremendous talent with experience representing employers across California and her return home helps us support a growing need for labor and employment services in the region.”
Talar earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where she served as a Senior Production Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review and earned her B.A. from The University of California at Los Angeles. While in school she worked as an extern in both the U.S. District Court as well as in Los Angeles County Superior Court, supporting Hon. Dickran Tevrizian and Hon. Fumiko H. Wasserman, respectively.
