Six Fisher Phillips Ohio Attorneys Listed in 2017 “Ohio Super Lawyers”

CLEVELAND, COLUMBUS (December 2, 2016) – Fisher Phillips announced today that six attorneys from its Cleveland and Columbus offices have been listed in the 2017 Ohio Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Those on the list are selected based upon third-party research, as well as peer nominations and evaluations.
Cleveland Office: Steve Nobil, regional managing partner, Partners Richard Millisor and Of Counsel Scott Gedeon were each recognized for their work in labor and employment law. In addition, Partner Jeff Smith, along with Attorney Anthony Dick, were listed as Rising Stars.
Columbus Office: Samuel Lillard, Of Counsel, and Robert Robenalt, partner, were recognized for their work in labor and employment law. In addition, Partner Kevin Hess and Associate Mathew Parker were listed as Rising Stars.

Steve Nobil devotes his practice to representing public and private sector employers in all areas of traditional labor law, including union organizing campaigns, contract negotiations, arbitrations, union avoidance, supervisory training and other related labor advice and counsel. Nobil is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been listed in Chambers' USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2004 and in The Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment law since 1993. He has continuously been selected as a Leading Labor and Employment Attorney by Inside Business Magazine.
ichard Millisor has extensive experience representing employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, wage and hour and unfair labor practice litigation. He has been listed in Chambers’ USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2007 and repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers in America.
Scott Gedeon represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on trial practice. He has spent more than a decade helping companies of all shapes and sizes – from small, family-held businesses to large Fortune 500 multinationals – defend their rights and protect their interests, both in the courtroom and in the boardroom. In addition, he regularly counsels clients on a broad range of worker and workplace safety issues.
Jeff Smith is a member of the firm's Employee Benefits Practice Group. He works with clients to create, implement and maintain their retirement and health plans. In addition, he advises employers on the impact of COBRA and HIPAA, as well as Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements and Voluntary Employer Beneficiary Associations. He has been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers – Rising Star three times. He was also listed in Best Lawyers in 2017.
Anthony Dick regularly counsels employers in all areas of labor and employment law. In addition, he routinely defends employers in litigation and against charges of discrimination before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
Samuel Lillard’s practice focuses on general employment litigation, arbitration and mediation. He represents employers in all Ohio and federal courts, as well as a number of regulatory agencies, and advises both private and public sector employers on various employment and personnel matters. He has been included in Ohio Super Lawyers every year since 2009.
Robert Robenalt represents management in a variety of labor and employment issues, including workers’ compensation, employment litigation and traditional labor matters. He has argued in defense of employment actions before the Fourth and Sixth Federal Courts, has served as an adjunct professor at Capital University and was listed in the Ohio Super Lawyers since 2013, 2014 and 2016.
Kevin Hess focuses on workplace health and safety. He also represents and counsels employers on compliance with employment-related laws. Hess defends the full panoply of discrimination charges in state and federal courts, directs clients through agency audits and counsels regularly on policy issues including termination and accommodation. He was listed as a Rising Star in 2016.
Mathew Parker represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation, counseling and community presence. He counsels clients on day-to-day employment policies and practices, including contracts, discrimination, wage and hour claims, confidential information, classification status, misconduct, non-competes and wrongful termination. This is Parker’s first year of inclusion on the Ohio Rising Stars list.
