New Jersey Breakfast Briefing – New Jersey’s Significant and Expansive WARN Act Amendments Will Soon Go Into Effect
Event
2.21.23
9:00 AM — 10:00 AM EST
Since January 2020, New Jersey employers have been watching and waiting for the effective date of key amendments to the state’s mass layoffs law – formally the Millville Dallas Airmotive Plant Job Loss Notification Act, but more commonly known as the New Jersey WARN Act. Due to COVID, the effective date of the amendments was delayed. After a delay due to COVID, the amendments will now be in effect beginning April 10.
Given the uncertainty of economic conditions, many employers are considering layoffs or transfer/termination of operations. Due to the serious ramifications of the amendments, employers should take proactive steps to ensure compliance. Join us for this timely webinar to learn about when layoffs will trigger NJ WARN, new notice and severance obligations, the impact on existing severance programs, and the potential for individual liability.
