In an interview with Law360, Kevin Hess discusses his return to Fisher Phillips to focus on workplace safety compliance and enforcement issues involving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as counseling employers on all other aspects of employment law involving everything from discrimination and retaliation to accommodations and harassment policies. "I’m excited to be back with Fisher Phillips and a part of the national platform with a strong reputation in the workplace safety practice area.” Additionally, Kevin added that Fisher Phillips is at the forefront of the technology movement when it comes to legal services. To be able to use those tools, coupled with the opportunity to continue building a strong team in Columbus, was a great motivator for rejoining.
And in his interview with International Employment Lawyer, Kevin not only discusses his return to the firm but also comments on some of the workplace safety trends he will be monitoring for clients. He highlights the uptick in OSHA inspections, the agency’s new Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP), the continued fallout from OSHA’s withdrawal of the emergency temporary standard (ETS), as well as injury and illness record-keeping requirements, heat stress, and whistleblower complaints.
