Local Attorneys Selected to Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, Rising Stars Lists

PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 16, 2016) – Six attorneys in the Philadelphia office of Fisher Phillips have been selected for inclusion in this year’s Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and five attorneys have been selected for Rising Stars.
Partners Christopher P. Stief, Lori Armstrong Halber, Rick Grimaldi, Susan M. Guerette, Michael R. Greco, and Of Counsel May Mon Post will be included in the 2016 edition of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.
Partner Michael R. Galey and Associates Michael P. Avila, Lauren Fuiman Cell, Benjamin C. Mann, and Christina M. Michael are listed in Rising Stars, which honors attorneys who are 40 years old or younger and in practice for 10 years or less.
Pennsylvania Super Lawyers is an annual list of Pennsylvania attorneys that includes no more than 5% of practicing attorneys in the Commonwealth (2.5% for Rising Stars). Inclusion on the list is based on a process that involves nomination by third parties and peers, followed by independent research and ultimately a peer review process. The list is then published as a resource for clients seeking counsel.
Christopher P. Stief, who is Managing Partner of the Philadelphia office and Co-Chair of the Firm's Employee Defection and Trade Secrets practice group, represents employers in a full range of labor and employment matters, including a national and international practice focusing on restrictive covenants and trade secrets issues, including litigating and advising companies on issues relating to covenants not to compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements, unfair competition, employee raiding and team moves, trade secrets, duty of loyalty, the U.S. Computer Fraud & Abuse Act, and various state trade secrets and unfair competition statutes. Chris resides in Swarthmore, Delaware County.
Lori Armstrong Halber, is a Partner and has been has been representing management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law for nearly 20 years. She has extensive experience defending employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act, with particular class and collective action experience. Lori resides in Warrington, Bucks County.
Rick Grimaldi, is a Partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices. His national practice spans all aspects of labor and employment law including regularly representing employers in litigation matters involving discrimination claims and wrongful termination claims. Rick is the Chair of the Fisher Phillips Government Solutions practice group. He resides in Lansdale, Montgomery County.
Susan M. Guerette, is a Partner and has a national practice representing management on a wide range of labor and employment matters including defending claims of discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, and national origin. Susan is also a member of the firm's Education Practice Group, which represents private educational institutions in employee, student, and board issues. She resides in Phoenixville, Chester County.
Michael R. Greco is a Partner in the Denver and Philadelphia offices and a member of the Firm’s Employee Defection and Trade Secrets Group. He litigates and provides counseling nationwide to employers concerning legal claims and issues arising from the movement of employees between competitor firms. Mike has prosecuted and defended hundreds of employee defection and trade secret matters, obtaining and defeating injunctive relief in at least 35 different state and federal courts, in addition to dozens of arbitration actions before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
May Mon Post is Of Counsel and concentrates her practice on defending and counseling employers in cases involving Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other federal and state employment discrimination laws at all stages of employment litigation. She counsels employers on compliance issues regarding the maintenance and administration of employment-related policies, including anti-discrimination policies, harassment avoidance policies, and collective bargaining agreements. May Mon is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment law and diversity and inclusion in the work place to print media, panel discussions, and legal education classes. She resides in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.
Michael P. Avila is an Associate in the Philadelphia office with a practice focused on employment and trade secrets litigation. Mike concentrates his practice on representing and advising employers on a national and international basis with respect to the gamut of local, national, and international laws that govern the workplace. He regularly litigates matters concerning legal claims arising from the movement of employees between competitor firms and also counsels clients regarding national and international employment agreements, including employee restrictive covenants. He resides in Broomall, Delaware County.
Lauren Fuiman Cell is an Associate who concentrates her practice on defending employers against employment related claims in federal, state, and local venue. To date, Lauren has successfully defended employers in disputes arising under Title VII, the American with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and defamation statutes. She is also a volunteer for the Court Appointment Special Advocate (CASA) Association, providing assistance to neglected children during the court process. She resides in Springfield, Delaware County.
Michael R. Galey is a Partner in the Philadelphia office where he concentrates his practice on defending employers against employment related claims and advising clients on personnel management and statutory compliance issues. He is routinely involved in defending employers in matters in which former employees have alleged race, national origin, age, disability, gender, and other discrimination claims as well as claims against employers for sexual harassment, breach of employment contract, defamation, and wrongful termination. Galey resides in West Chester, Chester County.
Benjamin C. Mann is an Associate who concentrates his practice on litigating employment-related claims in both federal court and state court. Ben is regularly involved in defending employers against workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. His practice especially focuses on litigation arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. He resides in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
Christina M. Michael is an Associate and has experience litigating a broad range of matters in both state and federal courts, including appellate work before U.S. Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. She concentrates her practice on defending employers in cases involving allegations of wrongful termination, defamation, breach of contract, wage disputes, and discrimination based on race, national origin, age, and gender. Christina also works on matters relating to employee defection, recruitment and related issues such as non-competition agreements and unfair competition. She resides in the Logan Square section of Philadelphia.
