Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Kirsten Mooney has joined the firm as an associate in the Cleveland office. She is the second associate to join in Cleveland in the past two months alongside Gary Baker who arrived in October.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Kirsten was an employment lawyer at an Ohio full-service firm where she represented clients in all stages of litigation. She handled a wide variety of labor and employment issues, including wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenants, and matters involving claims of discrimination and harassment. Kirsten also counseled educational institutions on legal and regulatory issues involving campus misconduct, special education, and Title IX investigations.
As a skilled litigator, Kirsten will focus her Fisher Phillips practice on defending employers in workplace disputes arising out of federal and state employment laws, representing employers of all sizes in state and federal courts as well as before arbitrators and administrative agencies. In addition, Kirsten will work to prevent workplace disputes before they arise by providing valuable counseling and advice on state and federal regulatory compliance, hiring and firing practices, and the creation and implementation of critical workplace policies.
Kirsten earned her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Spring Hill College. During law school, she was introduced to employment law and litigation through her externship with the General Counsel of John Carroll University.
