Immigration Compliance and Policy Changes under Trump - Davis Bae will walk you through the essential concepts and policies of immigration which have been fundamentally changed under the Trump Administration. In the upcoming year, we will expect immigration to be a major talking point for the election. We expect major escalations in I-9 enforcement, ICE investigations, scrutiny of USCIS filings and negative experiences at the border. This session will provide a summary of what you can expect in 2020 as we run up to the election and how to address it at your workplace.

Attracting Global Talent - Edwina Kye and Ralph Hua will focus on access to global talent as competition is fierce for the best and the brightest. In addition to learning how to best attract this talent, this session will discuss best practices in keeping costs down, overcoming RFEs and successfully managing your immigration program. In addition, to addressing specific changes to the H-1B, TN, and other Nonimmigrant visa categories, will address the radical changes to the H-1B lottery system. The audience will take home great value whether they currently use foreign talent or will consider it in the future.
3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Retaining Your Foreign Workforce - Eryne Walvekar and Radhika Mehta will provide a forecast of the changes to Permanent Residence. This will include how the Administration may change Labor Certifications, Immigrant Petitions, and Adjustment of Status applications, which may potentially change the lives of essential existing talent. Immigration program management requires a combination of great process and creativity to ensure your immigrant employees feel safe in these complex times while instead of which also staying compliant with increasing government scrutiny. They will touch on creative solutions gained from processing thousands of cases for companies of all sizes.
