CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jan. 20, 2017 – Four attorneys in the Charlotte office of labor and employment law firm Fisher Phillips have been rated among the best attorneys in North Carolina. Mason G. Alexander, managing partner, and Kevin J. Dalton, partner, have been named to 2017 North Carolina Super Lawyers. In addition Travis W. Mason G. Alexander is the managing partner of the Charlotte office of Fisher Phillips. He graduated from the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Alexander has practiced labor and employment law exclusively for nearly 30 years, including the areas of union campaigns, sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful discharge, union avoidance and policy reviews. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of North Carolina and South Carolina and is certified as a specialist in employment and labor law by the Supreme Court of South Carolina. In addition he is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been repeatedly recognized in North Carolina Super Lawyers. He has also been listed in Chambers USA, America's Leading Business Lawyers since 2008 and in The Best Lawyers in America since 2006.
Kevin Dalton is a partner in the Charlotte office of Fisher Phillips. In addition to being recognized in North Carolina Super Lawyers, Kevin is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for “Employment Law – Management” and “Labor Law-Management.” His practice emphasizes counseling clients regarding employment issues and defending clients against claims alleging wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations. Over the course of his twenty years as an attorney, Kevin has also assisted employers in remaining non-union, including responding to unfair labor practice charges. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin served as a Captain in the Army's JAG Corps at Fort Hood, Texas, where he prosecuted soldiers for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and defended the Army against claims alleging discrimination and other unlawful employment practices.
Travis Vance is Of Counsel in Fisher Phillips’ Charlotte office. He has tried matters across several industries and various subject matters, including employment litigation, business disputes and matters prosecuted by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He uses unique or outside-the-box approaches to counsel employers and owners on all aspects of employment law and the development of preventive policies and procedures to avoid employment and workplace safety-related claims. Travis handles litigation in both federal and state courts as well as claims pending with state and federal agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), MSHA, OSHA, and the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL). Licensed to practice law in five states, Travis has handled OSHA matters in over 10 states and has been quoted on OSHA issues in EHS Today and The Wall Street Journal.
Adam Bridgers brings more than seven years of legal experience at both the state and federal levels to his role where he represents businesses faced with employment-related disputes and claims of unfair competition and trade secrets violations. Previously, Bridgers also served as a summer law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Frank D. Whitney and as a judicial extern to U.S. Magistrate Judge David Keesler. He also serves on the North Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He received a bachelor of arts in political science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Bridgers has recognized among the North Carolina Rising Stars consecutively since 2014.
