Fisher Phillips Welcomes Janet Himmel in Denver

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Janet Himmel has joined the firm as an associate in the Denver office.
Janet is an experienced litigator who has practiced at both an AmLaw 100 firm and a boutique Texas firm. Prior to law school, Janet served in the U.S. Army as an Engineer Officer and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. She held multiple positions while serving in the Army, including Battalion Human Resources Officer in support of a 550-soldier organization.
At Fisher Phillips, Janet will represent employers in a variety of employment-related litigation claims in both state and federal court. In this role, Janet’s eDiscovery experience will be a valuable tool for clients in connection with eDiscovery issues. Janet will also defend companies in workplace law disputes involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge, and will advise on compliance with a variety of federal and state employment laws and agency regulations. In addition, Janet will provide counseling and help employers of all sizes prevent workplace disputes by advising them on employee training, handbooks, and policy creation.
Janet is the fourth new attorney to join Denver in 2022, bringing the lawyer count in that office to 26. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law where she served on the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law.
