Fisher Phillips Welcomes Gary Baker in Cleveland

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Gary Baker has joined the firm as an associate in the Cleveland office.
Gary will focus his practice on defending employers in a wide variety of workplace disputes arising out of federal and state employment laws. He will also handle workers’ compensation matters and will represent employers in matters involving general claims, medical reimbursement, self- insurance, rate assessments and coverage. In addition, Gary will advise employers of all sizes on regulatory compliance, employee training, handbooks, and policy creation.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Gary was at a Cleveland-based litigation firm where he focused on representing state fund and self-insured employers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio in workers’ compensation matters. He handled a number of other complex business and professional liability disputes and also defended manufacturers in product liability cases.
Gary earned his law degree from Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he was active in the Black Law Student Association and various mock trial competitions. During law school, Gary spent two years clerking with the Cleveland Bar Association’s Certified Grievance Committee.
