Fisher Phillips Welcomes Garrick Chan in San Francisco

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Garrick Chan has joined the firm as an associate in the San Francisco office.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Garrick was at an AmLaw 200 labor and employment law firm, advising and representing employers in a broad range of employment law and privacy matters in state and federal court. He also advised clients on compliance with a wide array of laws governing the use of background checks, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act. At Fisher Phillips, he will work with the firm’s FCRA and Background Screening team and continue litigating and defending employers in matters brought under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and the state’s Labor Code, including wage and hour, discrimination, and wrongful termination claims.
Garrick earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and Graduate School of Management, where he served as Associate Editor of the USF Maritime Law Journal and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research. Before law school, he graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from the University of the Pacific.
