Fisher Phillips Welcomes Amy Canning to Rapidly Growing New Jersey Office

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Amy Canning has joined the firm in an Of Counsel position in its rapidly growing New Jersey office.
Amy was most recently in the Labor & Employment Practice at a full-service AmLaw 100 law firm where she represented employers in State and Federal Court and before various administrative agencies and arbitral tribunals, and defended claims of wrongful discharge, harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Prior to that, Amy represented public sector employers in a wide array of labor-related matters, including collective bargaining disputes, unfair labor practice charges, and employee grievances and arbitrations. Amy is licensed in both New Jersey and New York.
At Fisher Phillips, Amy will continue representing the firm’s wide range of clients in both employment and traditional labor-related matters while also providing advice and counseling on all aspects of the employment relationships.
Amy is the fourth new attorney to join the rapidly growing New Jersey office in the past three months. She arrives upon the return of the Honorable Alan G. Lesnewich as well as the arrivals of Shane Kagan and David Kass.
Amy earned her J.D. cum laude from Villanova University Law School where she served as a member of the Environmental Law Journal and received various accolades recognizing her commitment to public service. After law school, Amy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul Innes, Presiding Judge of the Mercer County Superior Court, Civil Division.
