Fisher Phillips Welcomes Amanda Wingfield Goldman in New Orleans

Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Amanda Wingfield Goldman has joined the firm as Of Counsel in New Orleans.
Amanda most recently served as Senior Labor and Employment In House Counsel at an integrated regional energy company where she provided daily employment law advice and training in areas including discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour, pay equity, drug testing, criminal background checks, workplace violence, and various other corporate initiatives. She’s also managed outside counsel and oversaw complex multi-state litigation as well as matters before the EEOC and other federal and state agencies. Amanda also managed the company’s labor issues, which included union avoidance campaigns, advising on grievances and other union matters, and managing labor arbitrations. Prior to her in-house position, Amanda spent several years in private practice defending employers in workplace disputes at two of the big four labor and employment law firms. Earlier in her career, Amanda developed her skills as a litigator at two separate regional firms where she represented both corporate and individual clients in both federal and state courts in matters ranging from insurance defense to toxic torts, as well as defending employers in labor and employment disputes.
At Fisher Phillips, Amanda will represent management in complex labor and employment law disputes and will also provide companies with counseling and advice on all aspects of their employment relationships. Amanda will also assist clients in preventing workplace disputes by providing preventative legal counsel and advice on all aspects of their employment relationships and work strategically with business leaders to formulate and implement strategies to minimize risk. As former in-house labor and employment attorney, Amanda understands the needs of corporate clients and risk avoidance.
Amanda earned her J.D., from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served as the Articles Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal and was a member of the Loyola National Moot Court Team. She earned her B.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.
