In an interview with the Daily Report, Chairman and Managing Partner Roger Quillen explained how Fisher Phillips is focused on staying ahead of the curve when it comes to helping employers address COVID-19 workplace issues. After San Francisco issued the first shelter-in-place order shutting down activities by all city businesses except those deemed “essential,” Quillen described a dramatic increase in calls from worried clients wanting to know if they were “essential.” Predicting that other localities would follow San Francisco’s lead, Fisher Phillips jumped into action on Thursday, put a task force in place on Friday, and worked countless hours over the weekend to ensure that by Monday the firm’s Essential Business practice group was up and running. The article goes on to describe that Fisher Phillips is ahead of its peer firms with this practice devoted to the new deluge of shelter-in-place orders.
