Fisher Phillips’ Los Angeles Office Welcomes Experienced Litigator and Workplace Safety Partner, Andrew Sommer

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Andrew Sommer has joined the firm as a partner in the Los Angeles office.
Andrew has more than 20 years of employment litigation experience with national law firms and was most recently a partner at a boutique labor and employment firm where he served as Managing Partner of its California practice. He is a first chair attorney known for defending employers in federal and state court litigation and administrative proceedings throughout California. Andrew represents companies in a wide variety of workplace disputes involving claims of discrimination, wrongful termination as well as wage and hour collective and class actions. He is also known for handling workplace safety matters and regularly represents employers in inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions involving Cal/OSHA and other state plans.

Andrew is a thought leader who is frequently asked to speak and write for various trade groups and professional associations, and he has led employer and trade association coalitions in advocating to the Cal/OSHA Standards Board over workplace safety rulemaking.
He earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
