Fisher Phillips Expands Employment Litigation Team Again in Irvine

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of four attorneys in Irvine. Lisa Peterson and Victor Xu join as Of Counsel and Ashley Pham and Caroline Scala join as Associates. Fisher Phillips has added a total of six attorneys in the Irvine office in 2021 and plans to continue growing the firm’s labor and employment service offerings in Southern California.
Lisa works with and represents employers through all stages of a workplace-related matter, from providing counseling and advice to pre-litigation negotiations, and all the way through trial. As a litigator, she defends employers against claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unfair business practice and wage and hour violations. Lisa also provides preventive counseling and best practices on employee terminations, discipline and internal workplace investigations, development of various workplace policies, procedures and employee handbooks, and compliance with state and federal labor laws. She earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Victor represents employers before state and federal courts in employment litigation matters ranging from individual FEHA claims to complex wage and hour class and PAGA actions. Employers turn to him to conduct internal investigations into alleged employee/supervisor misconduct, including harassment and discrimination, and to design effective remedial measures, including preparation of new company policies and trainings. Victor earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
Ashley partners with employers to counsel and defend them in all areas of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment and wage and hour claims. She collaborates with business owners, HR departments and employers to design and implement workplace policies and to draft employee-employer agreements including employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, on-duty meal periods agreements, alternative work arrangements, benefits and severance packages. Ashley earned her J.D. Chapman University School of Law and her B.S. from Chapman University.
Caroline is an employment litigator who represents employers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of workplace-related issues including discrimination, harassment, leaves and accommodations, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination. She also guides employers through investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment & Housing and the California’s Labor Commissioner’s Office. Caroline earned her J.D. from Chapman University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego.
