Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Ivy Waisbord as an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office. She is the eleventh attorney to join the firm in Pennsylvania over the past twelve months.
Waisbord joins from a regional law firm and expands Fisher Phillips’ Employment Litigation and Employee Defections and Trade Secrets practices. At Fisher Phillips, she will litigate cases involving covenants not to compete, non-solicitation, non-use, and non-disclosure agreements, trade secrets, fiduciary duty, duty of loyalty, and similar claims arising from the movement of employees between competitor firms.
Prior to entering private practice, Waisbord previously worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, where she was appointed to the Special Victims Unit. In this role, she successfully investigated and prosecuted misdemeanor and felony juvenile delinquency cases from intake through conferences, hearings, and trials. Waisbord later worked as an assistant counsel to a Philadelphia-area non-profit organization and also has experience representing daycares and preschools in liability actions.
Waisbord earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and her B.S. from Drexel University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
