Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Danielle Moore has been elected to the firm’s three-member Management Committee. Danielle, a partner in the firm’s San Diego office will fill the vacancy left by Chairman Emeritus, Roger Quillen, who has stepped down after 27 years of service on the Management Committee.
“I speak on behalf of the entire firm when I extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Roger in appreciation of his remarkable tenure on the Management Committee, including his 23 years of service as firm Chair,” said Danielle “Roger has been integral in envisioning and implementing the firm’s growth strategy and creating an exceptional and collaborative workplace culture where attorneys and professional staff can grow and thrive. And, although he can never be replaced, I am honored that the firm has placed its trust in me to do my very best to fill Roger’s shoes and make him and my colleagues proud of all that Fisher Phillips has to offer.”
During Roger’s tenure on the Management Committee, he has played a critical role in expanding the firm's international footprint and creating a culture of client-centric service that attorneys around the world implement every day. Over the past 27 years, the firm has grown from five to 41 offices across the U.S. and Mexico and today has approximately 600 attorneys. Additionally, he has championed the investment in innovations that have improved how the firm practices law and serves clients, which has positioned Fisher Phillips as a leader in the labor and employment space.
Danielle will take her place on the Management Committee alongside firm Chair John Polson and longstanding member Christine Howard, making the Management Committee led by a majority of women.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Danielle has set out to make a difference not only in California’s employment law arena but also in advancing and promoting women, diversity, and equality in the industry.
As a legal practitioner, Danielle works with clients across the country to defend them against accusations of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, or complex workplace issues. She has been a critical business partner to many of the firm’s clients amid threats of large-scale exposure due to the rising number of class action lawsuits or Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions – her deep understanding of the Labor Code helps her clients minimize liability and reduce future risk.
Throughout her time with Fisher Phillips, Danielle has participated in and spearheaded many of the firm’s initiatives to advance women within the firm and in the legal community, none bigger than Fisher Phillips’ Women’s Initiative and Leadership Council (WiLC). WiLC is comprised of attorneys and staff from Fisher Phillips offices around the nation and focuses on recruiting, developing, and retaining women attorneys and fostering female leadership within the firm. As a result of Danielle’s boldness and the support of her colleagues within the firm, WiLC has become a successful nationwide program and continues to benefit the firm’s attorneys across 41 offices.
Additionally, Danielle was named Chair of Fisher Phillips’ Development Committee (DevCom) in 2018, a group comprised of partners focused on championing projects and best practices in support of the firm’s strategic plan. As chair of DevCom, Danielle is charged with proactively considering and developing initiatives to help the firm stay current and at the forefront of the practice of labor and employment law. In this role, she works closely with the Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer to lead the firm’s institutional efforts in branding, marketing, and business development. Danielle is always exploring different avenues to elevate the firm’s reputation in the business community and ensure that the firm remains competitive in the market.
“It is an exciting time to take on a larger leadership role at Fisher Phillips, and I am looking forward to working alongside John and Christine to champion the strategic growth and development of the firm,” said Danielle. “I’m coming to the table with a lot of ideas to build our brand while continuing to provide the best in client service.”
The leadership transition follows the firm’s celebration of its 80th anniversary. From advising business leaders on complex employment litigation to steering clients through regulatory threats and difficult negotiations, Fisher Phillips has celebrated the milestones made possible by client relationships, attorney collaboration, and innovation. As the firm reflects on the cornerstones of its business it also looks to the future by constantly evolving to meet the needs of the modern employer.
