Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Adam Sloustcher has been named Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas, Texas office. Sloustcher succeeds Michael Abcarian who served as the leader in Dallas since the office opened in 2005.
The firm is also excited to share that it has moved its Dallas office to Uptown (the Harwood District) and now occupies over 10,000 square feet in the lowrise, triangular building within the Crescent complex.
“It is an exciting time to take the leadership reigns in Dallas as we settle into our new space and position ourselves for growth in the market,” said Adam. “With its bright, fresh feel and balcony overlooking the open-air atrium below, the new space is a welcome change and exciting place to come to work.”
“I wanted a space that felt authentic to our tight-knit group and was modern and bright in the best part of town,” he added. “This amazing location just strikes such a great balance between work and play and provides an atmosphere that will not only help us better serve clients but will also help us enjoy each other’s company in the energy of Uptown Dallas.”
The LEED certified space at 500 Crescent Court is part of a 1.3 million-square-foot luxury, mixed-use development combining iconic architecture with modern amenities. The space has a modern vibe with an open floorplan and glass-walled offices allowing for tons of natural light throughout. Employees and visitors are welcomed into an inviting reception area that opens onto a large patio overlooking a tree-lined atrium just steps away.
The location is a pedestrian-friendly walkable neighborhood with easy-access to more than 80 restaurants and upscale retail options. It is walking distance to downtown and the Arts District with convenient access to Klyde Warren Park and Katy Trail. There is plentiful parking available with convenient freeway access to the Dallas North Tollway and Woodall Rodgers Freeway, allowing quick access to I-35 and I-30 to the west and North Central Expressway and I-45 to the east.
“In addition to all the excitement surrounding the new office space, I also want to be sure that I express my heartfelt appreciation for all that Mike Abcarian has done for us in Dallas,” added Adam. “Without Mike there would be no Dallas office, and I want him to know how grateful I am for the foundation he created upon which I hope to grow Fisher Phillips’ impact in the region.”
Adam joined Fisher Phillips in California as an associate in 2016 and made a name for himself representing local, regional, and national employers in a broad range of employment disputes. He became a partner in 2021 and has grown his practice with a reputation for defending employers in wage-and-hour class and representative actions, as well as high-level single-plaintiff civil rights cases.
In 2021, Fisher Phillips entrusted Adam to create and build the firm’s Sports Industry Team, a dedicated group of former collegiate and professional athletes helping professional franchises and leagues, collegiate conferences, individual colleges and universities, youth sports clubs and organizations, and other sports companies and organizations navigate all workplace-related issues and litigation.
Adam recently relocated to the Park Cities, where he and his family hope to become active members of their new community. “I’m just so excited about the opportunities that Dallas presents for my family and practice,” said Adam. “But being a leader in a new office space in this vibrant city is not a responsibility that I take lightly. I plan to immerse myself and do whatever I can to inspire and grow the Fisher Phillips brand in the local market and beyond.”
