Philadelphia (March 3, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the addition of Edward G. Winsman as Of Counsel in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Edward represents employers in litigation before state and federal courts across the country involving allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of non-compete agreements, non-solicit agreements, and confidentiality agreements. He practices in both trial and appellate courts and frequently appears in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations representing clients in matters involving employment agreements, litigating restrictive covenants and other issues relating to employee retirement/sunset agreements, retention and transition loans, claims of discrimination, wage and hour disputes, as well as other employment-related claims. Edward also provides workplace counseling services regarding employer rights and obligations related to employee resignations and terminations.
“Ed brings to our team a valuable mix of experience litigating both restrictive covenant and employment defense matters,” said Christopher Stief, regional managing partner of Fisher Phillips’ Philadelphia office. “His experience handling such matters in the financial services sector makes him a great fit for our growing Financial Services Industry Team, in addition to adding even further depth to the roster of practitioners in our firm’s nationwide Employee Defections and Trade Secrets Practice Group.”
Edward earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Delaware. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and was named a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” by SuperLawyers in 2018 and 2019.
Edward joins on the heels of Fisher Phillips’ announcement that the Philadelphia office will be moving from Radnor into Center City Philadelphia this spring, with new offices being built out at Two Logan Square. The larger space will allow the firm to accommodate its ongoing and projected growth in its Philadelphia office. For more information about the firm’s office move, please click here.
