Fisher Phillips Adds Four Employment Litigators in San Diego

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of four attorneys in San Diego. Jamie Gross joins as Of Counsel and Lauren Bushman, Cameron Davila and Poline Pourmorady join as Associates. Since the beginning of 2021, the firm has added 13 attorneys in California and plans to continue growing the firm’s labor and employment service offerings across the firm’s six offices in the state.
Gross is a zealous advocate and advisor for local, regional and national employers and companies in a broad range of employment related issues. She is an experienced litigator and regularly handles multi-party complex and class actions litigation throughout California, while also counselling her clients towards risk mitigation and best practices to prevent litigation. As a part of her employment litigation practice, Gross regularly defends employers against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, retaliation, breach of contract, Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims and other employment-related claims. She also helps clients design and implement employee handbooks, arbitration agreements and personnel policies. Gross earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from University of Maryland, College Park. She is admitted to practice in California, New York and New Jersey.
Bushman focuses her practice on employment litigation and counseling, and school district defense. As an employment litigator, she defends clients against claims of discrimination, wrongful termination and harassment, as well as wage and hour disputes. Bushman also assists employers with transactional employment needs such as employee separation contracts and nondisclosure agreements. She has formed a unique practice in defending school districts at trial against claims of civil rights violations, as well as negligent hiring, retention and supervision. Bushman earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of San Diego.
Davila defends employers in cases involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. He regularly represents employers in matters before state and federal courts and before the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the EEOC, and California’s DFEH. He also has experience litigating representative actions, including both class actions and claims for civil penalties under PAGA. Davila earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and his B.A. from Wesleyan University.
Pourmorady is an employment litigator who represents public and private employers in a wide range of workplace-related issues including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour violations, in the individual plaintiff and representative actions contexts. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.S. from the University of California, Los Angeles. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
