New Jersey 101.5 quoted New Jersey attorney David Strand in an online article “Does March Madness Mean a Drop in Productivity?” on March 20. The article was written following a radio interview with David that focused on the likelihood for workplace productivity to decrease during March Madness. David commented on the usage of the Internet for employees to get access to the games from their computers, rather than break room televisions. “There are always concerns about using company resources to have the games streamed live,” David said. “The idea that people aren’t going to do it is kind of amusing.” He proposed that employers strictly enforce any policies that they may have on misuse of company equipment. “If you turn a blind eye, you run the risk of having people argue that you don’t really enforce these policies anyway.”
